Press Release - DirectNET Employee Volunteers for Share-A-Gift Program

Broomfield, CO—December 21, 2006: DirectNET, the nation’s leading provider of datacenter management solutions, is proud to highlight the volunteer service of one of its employees for the Share-A-Gift project, an annual all-volunteer holiday program that provides toys, books, games, bikes, and other items to low-income families in Boulder County.

Chris Dyas, a Sr. Technical Sales Engineer at DirectNET, organized two toy drives for the program and assisted during the “Toy Shop” distribution event held December 16. Dyas and his daughter volunteered for the project through the Boulder Rugby Club, which has been involved in the program for nine years and provided nearly a third of this year’s volunteers.

“Participating in the Share-A-Gift program reminds us how many people in our community need help and is an opportunity to make Christmas day better for thousands of kids,” Dyas said.

This year, 728 families (2,155 children) were served during the Share-A-Gift program’s “Toy Shop,” which featured new and gently used items donated by the community for children ages 0-14. In addition to the children served by the “Toy Shop” event, toys were given to nearly 100 children through several local agencies, and toys remaining after the event were brought to an Indian reservation in South Dakota. The program is supported by local schools, congregations, businesses, and community groups.
